Each month when we read a new Scroll in The Greatest Salesman, we pick a favorite part from the previous Scroll to read at the beginning of the new Scroll. My selection from last year which follows seems to have seeped into my mind and my everyday activity: “I awake each morning with a vitality I have never known before. My vigor increases, my enthusiasm rises, my desire to meet the world overcomes every fear I once knew at sunrise, and I am happier than I ever believed it possible to be in this world”.
This time the key thought I am taking from Scroll I in The Greatest Salesman into next month to read before Scroll II is: “As I repeat the words daily they soon become a part of my active mind, but more important, they also seep into my other mind, that mysterious source which never sleeps, which creates my dreams, and often makes me act in ways I do not comprehend”.
I am so excited that my Definite Major Purpose was signed off on this week. Thank you Toby. This a major accomplishment for me from last year which until week 9 and I believe my guide was being generous. I could say that Practice makes perfect and I could feel confident that I got how it finally works (what are you kidding!) or I could just appreciate that maybe, just maybe, that the Master Key Experience practices are seeping in, and maybe I am starting to align with MY true purpose.
We manifest the life of our dreams by becoming a clear channel to be open for what we desire to flow through us. To keep our Definite Major Purpose alive and materializing like a lightning rod drawing our new reality to us, we need to break up the old blueprint, the cement, do the mental house cleaning. The lesson excerpt below is what the cement is made of that keeps the channel blocked.
Master Key Lesson 5.6: Again, this mind which pervades our physical body is not only the result of hereditary tendencies, but is the result of home, business and social environment, where countless thousands of impressions, ideas, prejudices and similar thoughts have been received. Much of this has been received from others, the result of opinions, suggestions or statements; much of it is the result of our own thinking, but nearly all of it has been accepted with little or no examination or consideration.
For example, we are like robots following each other off the end of the earth because we all thought the earth was flat and no one questioned it. To clear the channel in our mental house cleaning, this week we started the practice of ‘no opinion’ – not speaking or thinking our opinion whether it is bad or good. Last year my first experience of doing this practice was tough. It was like turning myself inside out to figure out what to say in the first place. I actually am a good listener, but when I think I’m the expert in something, ding – out comes the answer. I would then find myself nodding my head though and letting that person figure their own life out. Even though I don’t practice ‘no opinion’ every moment, this year seems to be totally different. I have found that ‘no opinion’ has seeped into many areas of my life. For instance, I barely spend time on Facebook because it is all about opinion. I find myself just appreciating and ‘liking’ when it is not an opinion and enjoying friend’s postings.
